PRIVACY Plain language
Your data, in plain English.

ON TV Inc. runs my-ontv.com. This page says what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and who sees it. The short version: we collect what we need to run ON TV, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
When you create a creator account
- Your name and email, so you can sign in and so we can reach you.
- Your password, stored only as a one-way hash. Nobody at ON TV can read it.
- When you confirmed your email and when you last signed in, to keep the account secure.
When you apply for a channel
- Your answers: name or group name, phone number, location, whether you are 18 or older (and an adult supervisor for school stations), your channel idea, category, rating, languages, how much video you have, links to your work, audience size, rights to your material, and why you want a channel.
- We use these answers to review your application, set up your channel if it is approved, and contact you about it. Your phone number is used only by ON TV to reach you about your channel.
- If your channel is approved, ON TV Studio stores what you need to run it: your library, schedule, branding, team members and payout details.
When you join the ad-free waitlist
- Your email, to confirm your spot and to tell you when ad-free launches.
- Your survey answers, if you give any: price, devices, what you like to watch, which services you pay for and how you heard about us. We use them, mostly added up across everyone, to decide the price and the line-up.
- A source tag, such as the name of the video or post that sent you, so we know which announcements work.
When you use the contact form
Your name, email and message go to the ON TV team by email so we can answer you.
Every visit
- One cookie, a session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects forms from forgery. No advertising or tracking cookies are set by this site.
- Your IP address, used to limit repeated sign-in and sign-up attempts and recorded in our security log when you sign up, apply, sign in or change account details.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts and the video player on the home page loads from cdnjs. Those services see your IP address when your browser fetches the files.
What we never do
- We never sell your data, and we never rent or trade our lists.
- We never send your email to advertisers. Ads on ON TV channels are not targeted using anything you give us on this site.
Who else sees it
Only the people at ON TV who need it to do their job, and the companies that host our servers and run the StreamForge TV platform that plays out ON TV channels, under agreements that limit them to running ON TV. We will disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Creator accounts and channels: while the account is open. After you close it we delete it within 90 days, except records we must keep for tax and payments.
- Applications that are not approved: 12 months, so you can see the decision and apply again, then deleted.
- Waitlist entries: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or 12 months after ad-free launches, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe we keep only your email, marked so we never email you again.
- Contact messages: up to 24 months.
- Security logs: up to 12 months.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from waitlist emails with the link in any email we send.
- Ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you through the contact form (choose "Privacy or data request"). We will answer within 30 days.
Children
Creator accounts are for people 18 or older, or school and campus stations with an adult supervisor. The waitlist is for adults. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top, and tell account holders by email about important changes. Questions: use the contact form, or write to ON TV Inc., Blanchester, Ohio.
